Fall Fun and Felines

Last Friday we had our annual Fall Bonfire.  It was so much fun to get together with all of our families and get to know each other better, and of course everyone loved making their own s'mores and hot dogs over the fire.

This week we have been focusing on the letter F.  We have also been learning all about felines.  Everyone pretended to be a feline during centers.
Our Bible story this week was Daniel in the Lion's Den and we learned how God saved Daniel from the lions by sending an angel to keep their mouths closed.   It's a good thing all of our felines are friendly!
For science this week, Mr. Brian and Miss Heather taught us all about density. We are so fortunate to have so many great volunteers to teach science this year.  All of our science teachers have made learning about science so much fun for the kids.  They really look forward to the lessons each week.  We have also started learning Spanish on Tuesday mornings with Mr. Jim.  The kids have been learning how to count to 10 the past couple of weeks and they are really enjoying their lessons with him as well.  We really appreciate all of our parent volunteers.  Thank you so much for volunteering your time with us here at Mt. Calvary!
