1, 2, 3, Count With Me!

We have been working hard all year to learn all of our numbers.  We are up to the number 10!
We practice writing numbers, identifying them, and counting them.
We use all kinds of activities to make learning these things lots of fun.
We have a little family of deer that comes to visit us several times a week.
They like to hang out and eat the grass outside our window.
They also love to hide under the apple tree.
We love it when Babchi comes to visit and read to us.
She makes reading books together so much fun!
Miss Hannah always makes learning fun too!
This week was fire safety week.
We made fire trucks and fire stations during center time, practiced calling 911,
and pretended to put fires out.

Two By Two

Noah's Ark Week is always a great week here at Mt. Calvary Preschool.  We spend the week learning all about Noah and his family, the ark, and the flood.  At the end of the week, we celebrate with our Noah's Ark Party where the kids each choose an animal to dress up as and then we have lots of fun together!
One of our traditions is to go visit the fire station next door for a little safety presentation, and then we get a trick or treat when we are done.
We had a trunk or treat during the party with all of our preschool families.

We had lots of fun activities in the gym too.
Everyone loves hammering "nails" in a pumpkin to practice building an ark.
This was a really fun game.
We also had lots of fun Noah's Ark activities at school during the week.
This was not an easy puzzle, but working together they had no trouble at all.
We built an ark together out of blocks!
It was even 3 stories tall.  These kids are so creative!
I love seeing what they come up with week after week.

Fabulous Fall

Fall is such a fun time in Flagstaff.  There is so much to learn about and explore.

We have been shopping for ingredients.
And practicing our measuring skills so we can help with all those holiday pies this year.
Our sled slide doesn't go unused just because there isn't any snow yet.
It is wide enough to slide down with your friends on a beautiful fall day!

These two are getting in some practice for winter coat weather.

When you draw a self portrait it always helps to use a mirror.
Learning something new is even more fun when you do it with a friend.
