Noah's Ark Party

They may not have come two by two, but we still had lots of animals come to our annual Noah's Ark Party last Friday.  It is always fun to see all the different animal costumes our kids and families create for the party.

There were lots of activities to keep the animals entertained.  Everyone enjoyed hammering nails into a pumpkin to practice building an ark.

We walked over to the fire station for some treats and also got to learn all about being a firefighter.
Our local firefighters are always so good with the kids.  We are so lucky to have them right next door!

Learning all about firefighters at our Noah's Ark Party led us right into our week of learning about community helpers.  It is always fun to learn all about the people who are a part of our community and help it to function each day, but it is even more fun when we get to pretend to be a community helper.  During centers, the kids got to pretend to be a different helper each day.  We started off by being doctors and nurses and helping people feel better and stay healthy.

We also got to practice being a hair dresser or a barber.
Miss Amanda even let us practice on her hair.

We also pretended to be a chef or baker and made lots of yummy foods to eat.
This week we learned all about the letter K and the number 11.

It looks like another local family decided to check out Mt. Calvary Preschool for their kids too!
