Happy Mother's Day!

Good afternoon, friends!  Thanks for visiting the blog!  Before I begin with this week's update, I wanted to thank you all, on behalf of the staff here at Mount Calvary, for the amazing teacher luncheon you all contributed to surprise us with.  It was so incredibly touching.  Please know how grateful our hearts are for the outpouring of love you showed us, as well as through all the other acts of kindness that you showered us with this week.  There were so many vases of flowers in the classroom at one point that I began to feel like we were in a greenhouse instead of a classroom!  Thank you for your loving hearts.  We are so blessed to have the opportunity to serve your amazing children.

We hope you enjoyed the Mother's Day party!  The children were so excited to learn their songs to sing to you, as well as to prepare their special Mother's Day gifts.  I appreciate all who were able to come and spend time!  For those who were unable to make it, please know that you were still celebrated!

Though I got pictures of every child with their mommy, I was unable to post all of them...I apologize!

Today at preschool, we had a VERY special visitor!

Please allow me to introduce Lily, Miss Hannah's dog!  Lily showed us all of her AMAZING tricks, and let us put her in a pretty pink skirt.  She spent the whole day with us, and even took a nap with us at quiet time!  The children loved Lily, and were very gentle and kind with her.

One last thing I wanted to share was how much I appreciate when people tell me they check the blog on a regular basis.  In all honesty, I'm never really sure if people actually read the blog.  One parent shared with me this past week that they check the blog and send the URL to her child's grandparents in Florida on a weekly basis.  That made my heart swell!  This blog is for YOU and YOUR FAMILIES!  Therefore, it makes me so happy to know that people actually read my rambling about the weeks we spend at school.  I appreciate you all checking in and visiting the blog.  I hope you find it to be a valuable means of seeing what your children do everyday.

Please check on your calendar that you have this upcoming Monday and Tuesday (the 11th & 12th) marked as NO SCHOOL days.  We will be closed for makeup snow days.

Speaking of, bundle up!  Snow in May?!  Not a fan ;).

Peace and joy,
