Wwwwwworms!

Happy Friday, friends!  Happy, May, too!  I can hardly believe it is already May.  I hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather.  I know we have been enjoying it at recess today.

This week, Miss Rae did a science lesson with earthworms!  Although worms are certainly not my most favorite thing, they seem to be pretty popular with 3, 4, and 5 year olds :).  The children learned a lot of cool worm facts, and got the chance to hold the worms in their own hands!  We also got to measure the worms with rulers.  It was so fun!  Thanks for such an exciting and engaging lesson, Miss Rae!

Charlee girl was extra brave and wanted to hold her worm on her arm LOL

So brave!!

Here are some other cute pictures from the week.  We learned about Pentecost, letters V-X, and the number 27.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Please don't forget that our Mother's Day party is this upcoming Wednesday!  Hope to see all of our beautiful mothers there next week :).

Peace and joy,
Miss Brooklyn

Happy Easter!

He is risen!
Welcome, friends!  Happy Easter!  I hope you all had a blessed holiday.  I apologize that there was no blog post last week, as there was no school due to Good Friday.  I wanted to take his opportunity to share photos from the Easter party last week.

Thank you to all who helped make our Easter party so special!

Here are some other fun, recent photos from our classroom!

Finally, I wanted to share some photos from science this week.  Miss Liz, Emery's mom, brought in REAL chickens from her house!  So fun, and an amazing learning experience!

Thanks for checking in!  Have a beautiful weekend!

Miss Brooklyn

Welcome, Spring!

Cheese!
Happy Friday, friends!  I hope you had a restful spring break.  It's been awhile since I've been able to post, as we haven't had school the past couple Fridays!  I looked at our last post and remembered all the snow we had just a few weeks ago.  It's crazy to me how quickly the weather changes here in Flagstaff!  Here at preschool, we are definitely gearing up for spring and warmer weather, and of course, Easter.

Snow!

Happy Friday!   I apologize that there was no post last week-I was out of town.  How have you been enjoying the snow?  We love the snow at recess time, especially with our new sled slide!
Kamy and her daddy enjoying the sled slide!  Thanks, Mr. Andrew, for all the time and effort you put into this amazing new addition to our playground!
Hooray!

Snow angels!
While we were playing in the snow, we noticed bunny tracks!
We then decided to follow the tracks, pretending we were bunnies, too!

We love snow!

Peace and joy,
Miss Brooklyn

Best Day Ever

Hi there!
Can you believe it's already the weekend?  Time just seems to fly by.
This week we learned all about the letter R.  We also listened to the Bible story of Zacchaeus, and learned the number 20.
Such a sweet moment of friends helping friends.
Singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" to learn about the letter "R!"
So fun!
I also wanted to include some pictures of our friend Ty, who has learned how to jump rope!  I'm not much of an action photographer, but I still think the pictures turned out cute :).

The last thing I wanted to share this week is very, very exciting.  Thanks to donations from our preschool community, we reached our financial goal for the sled slide!  Your helping hands and giving hearts are so appreciated.  I sound like a broken record, but the generosity of this community is always so touching.  The children got to test out the sled slide today and were SO happy to do so.  So embarrassing to admit but I almost got emotional seeing how happy they were all playing together-I'm such a sap!  One child even exclaimed, "This is the best day ever!" as she ran from the bottom of the slide back to the steps for another turn.  In addition to all the monetary donations, I'd like to thank all who helped physically with this project, especially Mr. Andrew.  Your kindness is a gift.

Peace and joy,
Miss Brooklyn
